05/08/2024 – Gordon E. Great food and atmosphere
06/13/2020 – MenuPix User *PROTEST* “Chickens tolerate bullys!” I was a worker at Yayas flame broiled chicken in Midland Michigan for over a year. I came into work one day last week and was told to help my co-worker with the trash, which I was willing to do happily. However, when I walked to the back of the building my co-worker was still washing his dishes so I realized that I had a couple minutes to wait I proceeded to the cooler to check what was needed to do when I noticed that the raw chicken glove was hung over the rail of the “chicken kart” and into the bucket of the chicken kart which was clean and hasnt been used because we only get take out orders due to Corona virus. Which I thought it meant I had to wash the whole kart so I went to the co-worker that caused me to do this meaningless work. I asked him, “why do you leave the chicken glove on the kart, did you know that I have to wash the whole thing when you do that?” His response was, “I dont know” then about 30 seconds later he spoke again “you dont work for free.” I figured that if I kept my mouth shut that it would be for the best so thats what I did and he walked towards me and then said “Get the f-ck out of my way” I didnt respond and then he got 2 inches from my face and I wanted to punch him in his head but I held my peace instead and then I called for help from the YaYas managment. This was a week and 2 days ago he was never written up for his behavior or even so much as apologized. They told me that he would. This happened in the kitchen of Yayas flame broiled chicken the main boss told me that he didnt have time for this and that he wanted me not to feel any type of way about it, to come to him if I had any problems instead of my team mate. I was alright until they proceeded to not do anything about it at all. I happen to have called in a few weeks ago for a severe tooth ache and I offered to give a doctors note if I needed one and then that I wasnt coming in because they wouldnt respond to the group message that everyone uses to call in it was so bad that I was screaming so after 4 hours I told them I wasnt coming in and then I went back to bed. I was told by the owners that they didnt like the way that I texted it, “rubbed them the wrong way” and that” I needed to get the doctors note or else I would get wrote up.” This man talked to me this way in the kitchen of Yayas and he wasnt wrote up. I will not tolerate being disrespected in a business to be threatened in a kitchen of a buisness or any establishment and doing the right thing and nobody doing anything about it, where is the justice? I am an American citizen and it is my responsibility to protest such an unjust behavior being tolerated in the work place. I was also told to leave the chicken kart unwashed by the owner after everything happened. It has still been unwashed to this day.
07/18/2018 – MenuPix User I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad — $8.15 — thru drive up window. When I got to my desk and opened the box, I was surprised to see much of a garden salad that I would make at home with iceberg lettuce, a few pieces of red onions,4 grape tomatoes, and the cut up chicken breast on top. The dressing was spicy and it was excellent! But that was the dressing. For $8.15, I expected more — what about tossing in a few mandarin orange sections, some crunchy chow mein noodles too? I was expecting more than just the iceberg, tomato and onion with chicken. I wont order this one again — but the dressing is awesome!
